Shipping and handling is not a profit center at Marsatta Fancy Chocolates. We pass on the costs and do not make a profit. Our chocolates deliveries have a shelf life at room temperature ranging from 10 days to 12 months. The shelf life depends on the chocolate ingredients used including our premium line and our organic and of course how you store the chocolate. The shipping options available are chosen to ensure delivery of your gourmet chocolate in perfect condition and within their shelf life. When choosing the shipping method please consider these guidelines below.

All year and to all delivery addresses it is best to send the chocolates to an address where there is someone available to accept the chocolates delivered. In the case of chocolates sent overnight express, because of the warm weather, it's required that the chocolates be sent to an address where there is someone to accept them. We can ship chocolates to a home or business address.

West Coast chocolate deliveries in CA, WA, OR: Between November 1st and April 15th the delivery alternatives for all our chocolates are ground (usually two day delivery), 2nd day air or overnight air. Between April 16th and October 31st to ensure arrival of the gourmet chocolates in perfect condition, our chocolates must be sent overnight express.

All other addresses within the 48 states: All boxes containing chocolate truffles or assorted gourmet chocolates must be sent 2nd day or overnight express for prompt deliveries. Between April 16th and October 31st or to addresses in warm locations our chocolates must be sent overnight express for the best chocolate deliveries. Between November 1st and April 15th boxes not containing truffles or bonbons and not sent to warm destination addresses can be shipped on the ground. Chocolate deliveries any where else? Alaska & Canada: All chocolate deliveries may be sent two day air or overnight express between November 1st and April 15th. Between April 15th and October 31st all chocolates must be sent overnight express.

Hawaii: All chocolates must be sent overnight express year round. The delivery companies do not guarantee next day delivery to Hawaii.

Please note in the list of choices that 2 day air is only delivered during the week and only week days are counted, hence a 2 day air box sent on Friday arrives on Tuesday.

Please note that overnight air shipments of gourmet chocolate are only delivered weekdays unless Saturday delivery is chosen. This costs an extra $10. Hence, an overnight delivery sent on Friday will arrive on Monday unless Saturday option is mentioned during checkout.

Note: When will your order be shipped and when should I expect my chocolate deliveries? We will ship your order to arrive on the requested date of arrival. Most of the year if there is no requested date of arrival on the order form we will ship the chocolates within three business days if the product is in stock. If the product is not in stock we will notify you when it will be made. For delivery in December please allow two weeks for shipping. For St. Valentines Day delivery please allow one week for chocolate deliveries.
